Small businesses selling low priced goods are right not to take cards – it costs them a fortune. It must be frustrating for this business to serve an ice cream that they can’t exactly put away, only for someone to produce a sodding debit card for a €2 purchase. People were obviously ignoring the “no cards” sign behind the counter.
