Massive is the word alright, kinda hilarious there will be more people at the Rugby or Gaa than the “protest”

Why is it kind of hilarious that a cultural pastime enjoys large crowds all the time?
The water protesters are entitled to protest, it’s not a sport.
What are you up to today? Anything nice?

It’s always the same sort of person at these protests- 49 years of age and dressed exclusively in Dunnes Stores clothing. Their unique brand of foul mouthed activism has finally given their lives some meaning.

      1. scottser

Water protesters wouldnt pass a picket to buy dunnes clothes. Jonotti’s fashion statements are so, like, 2014.

Why does everybody take the bait? Jonotti is very good at trolling middle class liberals. It’s actually pretty funny

      haha jonotty

your trolling always brings a smile to my face

enjoy the lobster festival down in Dalkey now…sorry maybe I’m resorting to stereotype there :)

them getting out there and protesting has already saved you money on ur water bill, and could even possibly do away with it all together. so have some respect at least, if ur not going to show any gratitude.

I’m going to get in the spirit by also going setting up Right2electricity, Right2petrol and Right2jam protests. Feck this “paying for stuff” lark.

I work, own a home and I pay a lot of tax. I’m a socialist too. I’ve been to every Dublin march I could get into work allowing and I’ll be in town for today’s one too. Also I’m very much looking forward to the forthcoming general election no matter when Kenny calls it I’ll travel home to vote if necessary.

I guess I don’t match your stereotype much

    2. rob

if no one marched, randy, you’d be lookin at a pretty hefty water bill comin in your door. and that aside, my cousin was killed in a pile up on the N7, and if i was in earshot of you saying that id pull your head off. so watch your lip, and think before making disgusting comments.

Great, another Saturday with public transport halted, roads closed, trouble makers clashing with the gardai. Dublin business association groups must be seriously annoyed at these protests – i know i am!

    1. rob

is it more annoying than getting a massive water bill in ur door? which wouldve happened if no one marched the first time. ungrateful wretch.

    2. scottser

The dublin business owners are only one stakeholder in the city. They can give over a few hours to democracy now and then, it won’t kill them.

  5. Anomanomanom

Everybody EVERYBODY will pay eventually. It’ll be taken at source, You won’t have to actually pay the bill.

    1. Anne

Ja know what, you might be right.
I think all in all it might be a better system to just take everything at source and leave people with a fiver. At least it’d be less hassle.

    2. Joe cool

Nobody will dare attempt take it at source. They try they may as well never run in politics again.

Really? Broadsheet thinks it’s interesting or relevant to post a picture of 7 people on a bus? There’s been a marked decline in quality of content

  7. Spaghetti Hoop

Passed these on the M11 earlier today. The scamps on the back seat doing mooners for the drivers. What japes.

Ok, just the first part true.

  8. rob

fair play to yee, makin the effort to travel up to add your support to the protest, much appreciated, guys!
