Irish Examiner : €100 Million Hidden Tax Take Boosts Revenue.

    €100 Million?
-Just from fiddling with the VAT rate of on-line purchases since January?
    -And you say nobody noticed?

    Pure genius.
Now I know why you idiots out there voted for this government.*

*No offense to the cleverer ones who didn’t vote for them. (But you knew that already, yeah?)

    [EDIT]
I read the rest of it, and apparently it’s only, ONLY €750 Million so far.
It’s ‘projected’ to reach €100 by the end of the year.*

    *Eh, excuse me? Christmas?
Why are you not including the surge in on-line purchases at Christmas in your ‘projection? Surely even €150 is a conservative estimate if you do?

    Oh, hold on a minute…
The Examiner comes from Cork, doesn’t it?

    I feel stupid now.

    and €100 Million too.

    PS.
    I’m not stupid.
    It’s my eyesight.
(Too much winking has taken it’s toll.)

My doctor suffers from the same predicament himself apparently.
He thinks it’s because I do too much walking.

I’m here all night, but first, let me introduce the first proper commenter…
      And here he/she is…

          ‘Every’ night?

You should stop whatever it is that makes you think wish it’s every night.

What the fupp is going on with that Corbett case?
You would think U.S authorities are not usually this slow to act.

Meanwhile the ex is causing as much grief to the family as she can.
She wanted to fly a banner over Limerick apparently, to wish one of the children a happy birthday.

She’s definitely a person of interest all right..She’s not really coming across as being wrapped too tightly.
It must be causing huge stress to the family. That and her appealing on the radio for anyone to contact them. You’d be fearful of strangers approaching them, ffs.

The US authorities are no slower than their Irish ‘file is being prepared for the DPP’ equivalents. I have some sympathy for the widow, it can’t be easy having your children unceremoniously removed and taken to another country, especially if she had no involvement in their father’s death.

      1. Anne

She’d have to know she’s not getting the children back. She’s engaged in a media campaign for her own reasons.. Making attempts to fly banners over the town is mental sh*t.

I’d have more sympathy for her if she made one statement about the children.. and out of respect for his family stayed quiet.

        1. Lilly

Well yes, that would be rational behaviour but maybe she’s insane with grief, who knows. His family haven’t demonstrated much respect towards her either. I feel most sorry for the kids, doubt they get any say one way or the other.

“His family haven’t demonstrated much respect towards her either”

Yeah, well, considering she’s a person of interest in their son’s murder and all that..

No one knows what happened, only her and her father do (former FBI personnel apparently) but she seems to be acting particularly wacked out, grief or no grief.

  5. Wait For It

Aren’t The Sun soaraway super? And are Labour under Joan Burton ever going to address their own appalling behaviour without pointing and saying, “Yeah, but Sinn Fein!”?

I like your way of thinking Wait For It.
      I like your name too.

I apologise for not knowing how to say that and NOT sound creepy.
It’s not me Wait For It.
      It’s your name.

      1. sǝɯǝɯ ʇɐ pɐq

        @Wait For It :
        I’m not slagging you.
        You’re me mate.*

*You’re NOT me mate, but I DO agree with you 100%.

        1. Prop Joe
