Has the Indo finally given up on at least appearing to be impartial?
Analysis / Comment is not news and therefore not impartial.
That is literally the thing and always has been.
Fair enough, just they’ve denied in the past that they’re any more favourable to (redacted)’s interests than any other, all good
It’s not that you are wrong, having read the news articles there is a definite difference in…..editorial approach?
IT goes a lot harder on the impact this has on DOB.
Indo are all like “jays aren’t the markets hard, its just the markets”.
Even allowing for the obvious bias that might exist between the two newspapers, it is common for IPOs to get pulled.
thanks James. Is is not notable that the Indo “analysis” piece has no hint that this could have negative consequences for DOB and Digicel?
Its common that IPOs get pulled? Given it means turning over all your confidential information to the public I’d hazard a guess that it is a lot more common that IPOs go ahead as planned.
This is a cock up for Redacted, have no doubt about it. Now his market competitors know all about the internal workings and structures of his company and he is getting none of the benefits. He won’t like that.

This looks like a press release from Digicel!!
Out of curiosity, what were you expecting?
Like what would satisfy you?
5 points trashing Dennis O’Brien?
What about the 5 points do you see as incorrect or biased?
If you’re going to spend your time defending him, at least learn to spell his name right.
The Indo’ should stop beating around the bush and just re-title itself as the “Fine Gael Daily Newsletter”.
Thus making it a Bluetop paper?

Vincent browne said last night, that this was a big deal and could have serious implications for redacted.
…níl aon fionnan mar do fhionnan féin…Denis should have bought the Wall St Journal.
