Jesus. Graphic design is so bloody generic these days. You’re supposed to use design to differentiate you from others not fall in line with them.

Choosing a load of stock images and then mixing them up isn’t design (unless of course your idiot client doesn’t have the budget or the imagination to spend on original concepts).

Why is he/she an idiot if there isn’t a budget? Some people need something that works, and quick, so they can get on with running their business.

Despite what graphic designers think, the success of a product does not fail or triumph at the click of their mouse.

Whatever happened to the White Hag competition for the beer fest tickets and crate of beer and swag? Seemed to have disappeared after the competition answer deadline..

there was a similar fake competition last year with another beer company, think the premise was for BS reader to name their new beer after a dublin landmark. Winner was supposed to get a crate of their beer but no winner was announced….wonder how many fake competitions pass through broadsheet

Thanks Garthicus and Bejayziz, to my almost certain knowledge we have never nabbed a prize for ourselves. What has happened is some of us have been too lazy to update posts with the winners’ names. White Hag may be able to confirm this. Sorry for the confusion.

you mean geuze? the beer with no sugar in it that taste really sour, the way beer tasted for hundreds of years before the yanks got involved?

Yeah, I remember that, too. Tasty.

I bought a bottle of that in Redmond’s the other day, it’s delicious. strong coffee tones, very unexpected. It’s still no Nitro milk stout though.
