The Church of the Ascension, Balally Co Dublin

The funeral of Thomas and Sylvia Connors and three of their five children, Jim, age five,, Christy , age two,and Mary, five months, all victims of the Carrickmines halting site fire.

Also pictured on the cortege route are members of Galescoile Sliabh Nua (pic 2 and 4) the school in Stillorgan, Co Dublin currently located with Stepaside Educate Together National School on Ballyogan Road,  where Jim attended.

    Whatever about one funeral being difficult – five coffins from one family must be heartbreaking to witness. RIP.

    Factual error in your text: The school shown is Stepaside Educate Together National School, which is not in Stillorgan but temporarily co-located on Ballyogan Road with Gaelscoil Sliabh Rua. Jim attended there, and his brothers Tom and Michael who survived are also pupils.
