I am hoping it is something to do with the usual – A dog is for life – not just for Christmas campaign. Or maybe something about promising to pick a dog up at the pound instead of puppy farms. Either way the one with his head down makes me sad.

Dogs Trust? They seem to have an awful lot of money for slick marketing campaigns. They’re always advertising and doing in-store sign ups, TV, etc. A serious amount of cash.

Lots of decent ad people donate to charities in things other than paper and metal money. Charitable services is a thing. I wouldn’t imagine dogs trust have an awful lot of money at all.

a charity is a business like anything else and advertisement brings in revenue that they need. as long as they are actually giving the higher revenue to help the dogs does it matter how much they spend on Ads?

I’m getting a bit tired of The government wasting money while real people are suffering.

        Fixed that for you.

We cannot just fix one problem at a time. Real people are not suffering because other people give to charities to help animals that real people mis-treat.
Real people are suffering due to lack of investment by the state and in some cases their own actions.

If there was more investment in the animal welfare sector regarding changing peoples attitudes to animals, there would eventually be no need for any funding.

          Yes.
And no, you’re wrong – I do care about the people drowning in the Med. I simply question motivations and responses. I would certainly prefer to see funds go to the refugee crisis than keeping unwanted dogs and cats in kennels.
