Tractor Summit

Held every two years in Hanover Germany, Agritechnica is the world’s largest agriculture forum, with over 2,900 exhibitors from 52 countries and 400,000 visitors and has just wrapped until 2017.

The DLG (German Agricultural Society) awards medals for innovations that make “processes  more efficient, precise, environmentally kind and cost-saving “.

This years big winner was John Deere for their new Chemical Application Manager, a sensor-based ProCut forager knife sharpening system and for their Connected Nutrient Management system that was developed in conjunction with Land Data, Eurosoft, Vista, Rauch and Sulky.

Other winners included Fendt, for their VarioGripPro tyre inflation system and Krone for their in-field forage pelleter, the Premos 5000.

But the smell though.

Oi, I’ve got no interest in farming. Obviously this means nobody else does either so I insist you remove this free content from your privately owned site that I have nothing to do with or I shall never give you a page impression again. I am the centre of the universe!

How right you are in terms of tone, Moyest! Giant expo with the biggest tractors I’ve ever seen: I like it. I also like food as my protesting belt will attest.

It’s gone quiet…a litte too quiet. Spaghetti Hoop’s cultivating a rich harvest of ag-based references.
