Of all arguments, “Let’s keep our heads down so they leave us alone” is worst. Morally bankrupt and just not true .

Bombing isn’t the only choice, though; shutting off the supply of weapons to ISIL/ISIS/Daesh/whoever, while actively setting up peace initiatives among the young second-generation Muslims might be better targeted.

Also cutting of the finances they get from oil – being sold to Turkey at the moment – would also help. All things suggest by Corbyn but you can’t listen to him even if he is talking sense because he is a leisure-suit wearing pinko commie bas*****d.

ISIS are carrying out terrorist attacks against nations as retribution for bombing ISIS in Iraq and Syria. The UK is surely increasing the threat of a terrorist attack in the UK by bombing ISIS, rather than reducing it. Cameron is putting the cart before the horse here in a way.

ISIS will slaughter any entity from a goatherd to a nation state that doesn’t submit to its tyranny.

That may well be the case, but they have clearly stated that the attacks in Paris and on the Russian airliner were retribution. So why is the UK doing the one thing that ISIS say they will retaliate against. Of course ISIS should be defeated. What I take issue with is the UK government’s twisted logic which they are using to justify a Yes vote.

Because we are suckers for punishment? I suspect its political, France has got Germany to commit weapons and troops (subject to parliamentary approval), so likely to be them asking.

Maybe so, Neilo. But ISIS have killed fewer, far fewer, than the industrial nations that have attacked the Middle East in the last 20 years.
