Sorry, I still don’t understand. Could you make this more simple?

Childish stuff. Ignores the fact that people living under despots have consistently asked for intervention.

What’s Paddy Holohon got to do with this?
han solo's carbonite dream
who asked for intervention?? really who – the syrian rebels bought off by the Saudi/ Qatari alliance?
most syrians , at least the moderate cohort were content enough with assad.
people are being stoked up into a frenzy about syria and IS when it all boils down to a natural gas pipeline to deliver gas to europe.
All of it stems from this conflict over whether it is Qatari or iranian gas we use at home.

So NOT getting bombed makes them angry and want to bomb people?
Dόn Pídgéόní
Actually, yes. And getting bombed as well.
It’s a really interesting read actually but you won’t hear anyone talking about the findings, just implantation of ineffective campaigns to prevent radicalisation that create more division between communities than is needed.

This is simplistic and naive beyond belief.
It’s akin to “Daddy, why are bad people bombing other people”

In general, the simpler it is to explain the closer it is to being true.
I give it 10/10.

Everything happens to satisfy base human emotions but because we all have huge egos, we like to over complicate everything. This post is spot on.

Well it fails to explain why IS bomb iraq and syria.

No it doesn’t. There’s a Vice documentary on Youtube (at least there used to be) shot inside IS. One particularly interesting ‘sequence’ is when they’re converting captured enemy combatants. The underlying message behind the argument they present to the captured soldiers is ‘You should fight with us because your leaders are actually friends of the west and are killing Muslims’.

A vice documentary eh?
Does it tell you where to score the most awesome weed in raqqa?
