Last night.

The Grand Social, Lower Liffey Street, Dublin 1.

Irish David Bowie fans honoured the singer, who died yesterday, with a gathering at the Grand Social, the venue for last weekend’s David Bowie Festival.

maybe a burlesque circus would have been more appropriate but it was all they could throw together at short notice i guess.

Wouldn’t blame the Grand Social – slightly cynical but what of it. the dopes who are queueing to sign an A4 pad marked ‘D Bowie Condolences’ are another matter altogether.

Doubt they’ll send it anyway but it’s like a physical Facebook where people can waffle out their thoughts on the great man even if some of them only heard who he was for the first time yesterday morning but want to be in with the cool kids (e.g. all those nut jobs on Twitter talking about their love for “David Zowie” music)

        1. Cup of tea anyone?

After you are finished writing you put your face in the book and slam it real hard to get a good imprint.
And that is how facebook was invented.

Nialler9 the man with the answers to all the questions no one is asking about what’s hip in Dublin.

saw a guy on the news last night say that shaking Bowie’s hand was the highlight of his life….
think he needs to get one!

I had the misfortune yesterday (radio) of listening to Dave Fanning’s memories of interviewing Bowie. Total cringe-puke.
