Bridget & Eamon is a new six episode series written by Jason Butler, Jennifer Zamparelli and Bernard O’Shea. Set in the 1980s, it stars Jennifer as Bridget (top right) and Bernard as Eamon (top left) in roles already massively popular in sketches on Republic of Telly.
The cast features Norma Sheahan, Eleanor Tiernan and Sharon Mannion as the Bridget’s neighbours, Colum McDonnell as Eamon’s mate Fierce Handy Frank and Edwin Sammon as the local parish priest.Guest stars include Mary McEvoy, Linda Martin, John Colleary, Pat McDonnell, John Lynn, Karl Spain, Keith Walsh and Alison Spittle.
Starts RTÉ2 on Monday 1 February at 10pm.

Hard to believe Jennifer Maguire was once the ‘most successful salesperson in Europe’. From sales and targets to sketch comedy. Extraordinary.
Great, an offshoot of an atrocious show. Will most definitely be worse.
Granted, I’m drunk. I hope I remember to look at this post tomorrow.
I will agree with my statement but will probably feel I was too easy on RTE.
I think the licence fee is great value.
I watched some of these sketches- the idea didnt sustain 90 seconds- I dont know how they think they could write a 30 minute show around it, let alone a 6 part series.
I guess people who like Emo and Iver need something when on a break from their xbox.
