Eipic.

On TG4 at 10pm tonight.

The third episode of a six-part series.

Ciara Nic Chormaic writes:

“Eipic is a musical comedy drama about a group of teenagers who take over their local abandoned Post Office and start a musical revolution. Each week focuses on a particular character. This week it is Oisín and he has the mother of all house parties – pills, smoke, coke, the lot…”

Any idea on what sort of viewership this is getting?

I really can’t see it appealing too much to TG4’s rabid Country and Western fans

    1. The Old Boy

I’m sure scores of transition year pupils will be subjected to it on a television wheeled out on its stand by a hungover Irish teacher.

      1. Kieran NYC

Just flashed back to watching that short film about the Chinese guy who learnt Irish about 15 times in school.

    2. Clampers Outside!

It’s averaging c.20,000 Adult 15+ viewers per episode, about half of whom are aged 15-34.

Doesn’t sound like a lot, but… 25% of all 15-34s watching TV at the time of broadcast were watching that programme…. which isn’t bad at all in fairness :)

Estimates exclude repeats. It should also be noted that the programme was broadcast at 10pm’ish for the first episode and after 11pm on the second… surprisingly, the second episode did better than the first, even at that later time slot.
