      Hmmm…
Up to a few years ago I would have totally agreed with you, but after seeing how the EU treats it’s members and citizens I can see why some want to leave.

Frau Merkel has a lot to answer for.

I’m not remarking on his stance; rather that he managed to be the one to get his face on the covers of the majority of the London papers by theatrically delaying for a day.

Boris cares about as much about people as the EU does. He’s not even saying Britain should leave the EU, only that they should say they are to force the EU to give in to any demands he makes. It’s just politics as usual.

        No Sam, he isn’t.
He’s been selling cattle all along, on a ‘pig-in-a-poke’ basis. Donkey after donkey, and promising racehorses.
        He hasn’t got a clue.

He’s not even fit for selling cattle but the surrounding smell might elevate his standing in his immediate environs, were he to choose that as an occupation. I hear there’s.a few vacancies on Jobsbridge.

      Thanks for that video Walter-Ego.
      People need to be reminded.

      This country needs political reform.
This swapping of tenure from one corrupt party to another is not Democracy.

      It will end. Trust me.

You don’t want to have to lie to your grandchildren.
You want to be able to say, ‘I was there at the beginning’.

Vote Left, and then Left again.

Let’s not have a riot, okay?

          Hi rory,
you spelt my name upside-down but I’ll overlook that.

I honestly think that any vote that DOESN’T go to FF / FG / Renua and their ilk is a vote to the Left.
That’s why I said go Left, then LEFT AGAIN.

I meant to say ‘Go Left Until You Can’t Go Left Anymore’.but I’m lazy.
          I type with one finger.
          Long messages are an ordeal.

          Hope that clears things up.

            Only messing with you.
            I’ll answer your question;

            No.
I have no preference or affiliation to any party.
            They’re all hopeless.

            This election is a farce.
We’ll have another one before this year is out.

            This one is about PROTEST.
            Things will settle down.
We’ll arrive back at square one.

            Plus ca change…

That’s a video from 2007 when the people decided to vote for Bertie Ahern and Fianna Fail. But of course it’s all Fine Gael’s fault.

      1. ahjayzis

Inspired choice of username given that both tweedle parties were running on the same premise of massively increased public spending on reducing tax bases.

Vote FG, vote FF, the result will always be the same.

      1. Sam

Details like that tend to be missed by people who think election promises are considered legally binding by the courts.

        1. The Old Boy

Of course, the Courts wouldn’t touch it with a ten-foot barge-pole even if he had won that election with a majority and not kept the promises.
