This afternoon.
Bríd Smith of the Anti Austerity Alliance/People Before Profit wins the final seat in Dublin South Central after a marathon recount in the RDS, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.
It means AAA/PBP will have six TDs in a new dáil, on par with Labour (pending the final Longford Westmeath count).

Funny how the correct spelling is in the chart and you still got it wrong.
Sigh.
Sorry Happydub, fixed now. Thank you.
Can I be pedantic and mention that you left out fada? Bríd Smith.
Of course Pedeyw. That’s done now. Thanks
Name is still spelled incorrectly as far as I can see.
Seems to have been corrected since I replied. Strange.
Its a strange world, Sandy
You tell him Dermot
Congratulations to Brid.
Who is the man on the left…..could it ever be the man from RTE….?
Thank god those clowns don’t get speaking rights…
Labour?
Things must be fairly ok in Dublin South Central or people wouldn’t be wasting their votes on parties who aren’t going / don’t want to have anything to do with change.
Hi Catherine.
It will be interesting to see how the left move from a collection of idealistic protesters into a real world political entity and the subsequent external compromise. Richard Boyd Barrett looked decidedly uncomfortable with some of the questions by Ivan Yates on TV3 last night.
Still, it really is good to see. Congratulations to Bríd. In fact, congrats to everyone left of the two Fs including the Greens… but not Labour of course.
