I would love to know how much was paid for each car, was there a buying in bulk discount, which company attaches the livery , lights and garda equipment , and is there value for money there , who services the cars and how does that compare to the deal private companies are charged, such as car rental companies , does that work ever go out to tender , is there competition for the work? And may more questions like that , same goes for garda and army bikes

It’s all public tender so you should be able to find it.
The story goes, and I don’t know if it’s true – it probably isn’t, that the best tender for cars they got was from BMW but they had to select it because of the perception

Also doing high powered Audi A7’s I think, from the same place. Been doing them from Parkwest for over a year. Also old stock unmarked now being fitted with recording equipment. You used to spot the Ford Mondeo with two burley lads in the car, but now its a non standard car make/model across the unmarked fleet, concealed blue lights etc, but the camera is usually near the rear view mirror.
