Maybe it’s an anti parking space. The lines are just meant to outline the 3 actual spaces adjoining this non-parking space. When you think about it, the whole world outside the lines is an anti parking space.

Well it would be hard to delineate the other parking spaces without creating that little non-space.

Bollards too. With flashing lights. And a constantly repeating voiceover in a condescending tone a la Dublin Airport escalators.

The white zone is for immediate loading and unloading of passengers only. There is no stopping in the red zone.

has to be in an English accent. we never obey unless the order is given in an English accent:
‘unexpected item in the baggage area’ has me almost wanting to confess to things I’ve never done..

True. I go out of my way to defy the culchie man who lives in the SuperValu(E! FUCKING E!) self checkouts.

“It should be filled with diagonal lines to show it is not a parking space.”

Well then according newsjustin’s observation above, the entire planet would have to be painted in diagonal lines where no parking spaces exist.

Looking at the angle of that kerbline (and assuming it continues through the foreground), the parking space beside the non-space would be tricky to use, too.
