How irrelevant
Screw you and screw your friend
People are dying in Aleppo and all you can do is whine?
Get yer friend off her fat ass and walk the kids to school
Just move the barriers?!
I’m sure you’re pouring every penny you have into saving them
lol
I’m sorry, perhaps you’re new here. Did you miss, by chance, the piece of poo shaped like Ireland last week? Or the general bastardry that is the pox of LJG?
*Guffaws at general bastardry*
We want the finest whines available to humanity, we want them here and we want them now!
Is that you, Withnail, my boy?
@OhRowShayDoVahaWaile
Who pee’d in your cornflakes…
Aleppo my arse. People are dying all over the place.
Off ya go now to your BLM march…
I think it’s that peculiar upside down chappie – strange.
Must we always defend the indefensible?
There’s plenty of room to get around that barrier.
There clearly is not.
On right where the pic ends is the start of the wall on that side.
If I needed to get out I’d get out.
If it was a choice between moving a blue plastic barrier six inches and reversing out, or not being able to pick my kids up from school, I think moving the plastic barrier is the sensible option……
It even has handy handles moulded in for that exact purpose…..
Yes cause plastic barriers are so heavy, no woman can lift them. I’d say Anna and her friend are the Queens of excuses.
possibly irish water instead of DCC?
i don’t see any explicit DCC logos on those barriers.
Why is everyone saying that the barrier could just be moved and not commenting on the fact that council workers blocked a driveway with no warning?
Why is no-one commenting on the fact that if the council couldn’t be arsed informing the owners of the property that their access will be impeded, why should anyone be arsed respecting the council and their barriers?
That’s the mystery, Bob. To me that is the salient feature of the whole article. Arrogance and lack of basic courtesy is now the norm from our authorities?
I’m sure you’re going to tell us aren’t you Bob?
People are being a bit harsh I think, you could possibly move the barriers but that doesn’t mean it is ok for them to have been put there in the first place. Also hard to tell but there could be a big enough drop where the concrete is removed might not have been possible.
But it’s FALSE IMPRISONMENT!
You’re right. Imagine what would happen if they did that outside the Residence of JobBridge Joan?!?
Foodbank Burton would have the fuzz standing around scratching their holes for 3 hours, but then the barrier would be arrested at 7am.
Can your friend not walk? Can her ‘kids’ walk?
Slow news day
I used to live in a rather rural area. The nearest school was a 20-25 min walk away. The road to it from my house was a narrow twisty uphill affair with no footpath on sections. Cars would fly down the road at all hours of the day. I wouldn’t have felt safe for a moment walking with my kid on that road.
It could well be that she’s in a similar position.
Dublin city council though? its not rural really is it-
How could I have missed that? I feel like I might need more coffee…
I bet your kids are obese
Really? That’s your contribution?
Excellent job, pal. Keep up the truly stellar work.
You’re an enabler?
Bet she’s on benefits too
pick up kids FROM school? so she was in the house when the works started and its around 2pm at the latest so the workers would still be around . How did she not hear them start working? could she not ask the workers to move the barrier or move them herself or get you to move them ? there’s no handicap sticker on the car and the photo is taken from a standing height, so you can both walk and move your arms, Its not as if she woke up this morning to this and had trouble getting the kids into school. Its early afternoon,. it would take 30 seconds to move the barrier. there’s two of you. Christ. First world “problems” !
oohh, Mr Sensitivity
what school finishes before 2pm?
primary school finishes at 2:30 and junior/senior infants even earlier. plus travel time . hence photo taken at the latest 2PM, I never said school finished before 2pm, just that the council workers wont have gone home yet. so you might be able to ask them nicely to shift the barriers. If one were too lazy to move them oneself. so either way there is multiple solutions to this barrier puzzle.
Doesn’t look like a property where occupier would be bothered if kids attended school or not.
haha
how?
Exactly what is meant by that, small lump of ordure? That looks like a perfectly respectable residence. Are you “Get Off my Land” Pat Kenny?
It’s hardly a trench, I’ve driven through deeper potholes! Were the barriers electrified to prevent them being touched, or something?
She should barrier Anna’s car for the trip.
What, what, gerrup!
It’s clearly on the northside of Dublin
Barrier block all Opel “People Carriers”
probably doing work on behalf of irish water
id have them barriers scattered halfway across the road straight away. id get joy out of it to be honest. and id be lingerin for when the workers come back to discuss the matter
How do you know her name is Joy?
Hehe
Place barriers in hole to required height. Drive on. Two problems solved, access and rudeness. I’m fierce clever.
I like your thinking…. Ireland needs more like you.
#blushes#
Why cant she walk to school?
Use the barriers to drive over the works.
Lots of petty snobbery on here. Probably from people who paid over the odds for a tiny poorly built house in “Sandyford” and tire themselves out pretending to be middle class.
no one has mentioned the fierce curtains
Is the bus strike still on?
Ah here is right
I’ve seen worse potholes
