It should be tip #1. Pretty much every secondary school in my town is serviced by a high-quality cycle lane: all are unused.

Exercise is not the solution to obesity. Diet is.

Will exercise help? Yes, but the impact for weight loss is tiny.

Yeah, I put the majority of it down to poor parenting. If your child is obese then you need to consider what you are feeding it.

Both parents are now out working so convenience food is a lot easier. Shove something in the microwave and job done. I’m not saying it is right but is a fact of modern life.

Yeah that’s certainly a good point. Maybe that’s why slow cookers are becoming so popular. I got one recently and it has been a great addition.

I was about to suggest slow cooker too, bung everything in before you leave for work in the morning and you’ve got dinner waiting for you when you get home. Takes about ten mins of actual effort.

Real food can be quick to !
Or cook a big batch at weekends and freeze portions !
Also most kids over 10 should be able to knock out an omelet/salade etc
          There are only solutions!

There are loads of solutions but none as convenient as chucking something in the microwave. Meals are not the only problem though. Snacking between meals is a major factor.

The kids will only bang that shiz out if they’re shown. Thankfully my mum was an enthusiastic teacher if not a gastronome!
