It’s probably cheaper. Remember when Leonard Cohen was playing here and it was cheaper to fly to Portugal and see him there than to get a ticket to see him at the Point?

Same with the Top Gear live show – cheaper to fly to London / Earls Court than buy an RDS ticket.

God, I’ve just had a Celtic Tiger moment. We were in ermmmmmm whatsit called — Bentley’s (which is now the Cliff Townhouse) having dinner and the Top Gear crew all came in for dinner after that show. No wonder they could afford it. Dunno why I was there, though. Probably just being cool.

He couldn’t afford to come back now. And he’s not needed. The Dublin Marathon (4th biggest in Europe) generates more money for the economy that his badly ageing jaded millennial startup tat.

I don’t think he should come back unless the state provides him with a car and driver and free wifi wherever he might go.

He most definitely shouldn’t have to deal with traffic.

Any reason why he couldn’t be put up in Farmleigh?

Attach 4 drones to a comfy chair to fly him around. That way, traffic won’t ever be an issue and he can look down on us all.

The Web Summit really belongs here. In that, it’s incredibly overpriced and does nothing for 99% of those companies there. Just like good old Ireland these days. 1% might get some investment or make a deal that they’d be making with or without the summit.
