The Warchests’s David Reynolds writes:
The increasing popularity of tabletop gaming as a social activity has allowed The Warchest to double in size this year, taking over a vacant unit next to Hardy’s Bar in Dun Laoghaire.
We have a great group of people here, and I try to make sure the shop is a really welcoming place to play games.
I’ve watched friendships develop through gaming and it’s amazing to be part of that, you can see that it’s not just about the games, it’s about forming a community,
In fairness
The Warchest reopens on Saturday May 20th at 12pm, with a Magic: The Gathering tournament at 1pm and board games from 7pm.
Thanks James
isn’t 7pm a bit late for kids?
Eh, hello?
It’s on a Saturday…
WeThey don’t have to get up for school on Sunday.Kids aren’t invited, they always want to hug the Owlbear
Interesting that the popularity of games like World of Warcraft and Hearthstone just seem to increase interest in Dungeons and Dragons and MTG respectively
nerds
I reckon I’d love that tbh…
Fair play to the lads in The Warchest for their success. It’s great to see that the Greater Dublin area can support more than one gaming store, after the one in Maynooth had to close a few years ago.
