If GAA players want to get paid for their efforts it should come from gaa gate receipts, not taxation or tax rebates

Isnt it the Sportspersons reliief they’re looking to qualify for
Like all the Rugby, golf and soccer etc etc crowd get

Income sportspersons generate from sport is not taxed, if they have a bar/restaurant this is taxed. If the GAA are so concerned about the welfare of their players, pay them for their efforts.

“Income sportspersons generate from sport is not taxed” – really? Are you certain this is correct? I would be surprised if super-wealthy golfer wasn’t paying any tax on their golfing income.

There is a threshold for such super earners, but domestic rugby, soccer, athletics etc receive tax exemptions.

2021 till housing crisis fixed… ye read it there first kids. With reports of house prices increasing at 2g a month those that come to market will be snapped up by investors with intentions to let, old money or the late 30/early 40’s couple throwing half their combined wage into mortgage repayments per month.
So by the time those in their 20’s get around to it will be a renters market & not the fuzzy warm urban type enjoyed by regulated Scandinavian countries… nah yell be paying a third of your wage on rent for the rest of your life, sure it ill be grand for a few years, wait till a major life event interferes with your financial situation & you will be down in bargintown aswell.
But if sippn your latte in an new office block down the Quays has convinced you have ‘made it’, thats fantastic.
This country is ballbagged. I’d get the f’out while you can.

I agree. It’s a truly horrible situation and its playing out far faster than I anticipated. Average house price now exceeds 10 times the average salary. This was a completely preventable crisis.

Britain’s Independent has the audacity to publish a photo of a tennis player that isn’t Andy Murray.

… art seems to have become an extension of progressive politics, where it’s not about exploring the grey areas in culture but about repeating a series of prompts that signal to the audience that you’re one of the good guys.

Absolute joker has delayed broadband again for a further 2 years until a private company completes their work??? And it’ll take a further 5 years after that to complete it. That Denis Haughten is as useful as a chocolate fire guard.

Our internet is terrible…Unable to stream basically.
No LTE towers close enough to provide 4G indoors or out.
Satellite is so expensive and goes to faeces during peak hours…ie when you want to use it.
