The most exceptional song by Mumford and Sons to date would have to be the one that sounds like the one before and the one after it.
It would be Dustbowl Dance. It’s one of those songs that builds in anger and starts slow but is banging by the end. I remember listening to the lyrics thinking it sounded like something Steinbeck would write. Then I saw the song title and knew it was probably influenced by him. Then I saw they had a song called Timshel and I knew that they were fans, just like me.
Play something by fleet foxes, fer jaysus sake.
