Coming off the M Fiddy onto Newlands Cross is fairly hairy. Not for me, being a superb driver but for yer average bod: certainly.

We all like to gripe but a testament to Irish engineering has to be the now spaghetti junction at Red Cow. They built that and rerouted the Luas while keeping the busiest roads in Ireland open and free flowing. To this day I have no idea how they managed it.

I drove that route twice a day while the upgrade was being done and it was amazing to see it in progress.

having the two routes in and out’ve Ballymount Road helped
’cause from there you got to the Walkinstown Roundy
        so Town
        Tallaght etc
and Spawell Roundy were all accessible from there
even a quick shuffle back onto the M50

I’ll give u a good challenge, no satnav

starting at that luas plaza like you’ve just left someone off

then make your destination southbound on the fifty

see how you get on (especially the bit of the down ramp after taking a right off the luas bridge on clondalkin side and pointing at the spaghetti)

      good craic
