Arrest her!
This morning.
Dublin Castle, Dublin 2
The grand daughter of Irish suffragette Hanna Sheehy Skeffington re-enact’s breaking windows in Dublin Castle to mark centenary of women getting the vote.
It was on this day 100 years ago women were first granted the vote under the Representation of the People Act in 1918 which became law on February 6th, 1918.
Micheline Sheehy Skeffington was ‘arrested’ by actor Rob McCarthy playing an RIC Officer…

Hooligan!
That’s a lovely part of town; the steps in the background of the first photo leading up to the lane behind Dame Street.
I can’t work it out, even though I used to walk up that lane home for many years. Which entrance to the Castle is that?
Ship street gate…
Gotcha. I couldn’t make sense of the steps leading to Castle St.
those steps don’t take you to dame street
you’re thinking maybe of cork hill, which runs alongside city hall and leads onto castle street
Yeah no that’s exactly where I mean – it’s called Castle Street? I just call it the lane behind dame st.
Good job you’re not Minister of Street Naming.
i’d really, really like that job
