Netanyahu, May, the Kim and Trump – all warmongerers of the day in glorious technicolour, many circuses missing their clowns and villages their idiots.

…ah petey…you should try reading the Morning Star sometime…Assad was one of the targets for regime change in the midddle-east until Putin stepped in to back him against the groups that crooked Hillary had armed…like Isis…by the standards for the region Assad and Putin are the good guys…

          1. bisted

…by Netanyahu and zionazi standards everyone looks like a good guy…but good guys or not, they appear to have halted the march of regime change in the region that has led to millions of needless deaths…

          2. Nigel

No. By no standards. If anything they make Netanyahu look like a good guy, and he is not a good guy. The idea that just because they ‘halt regime change’ means they’re the good guys is utterly childish.

          3. bisted

…I’ve already conceded that, to some people, Assad and Putin may not appear as good guys…but they have halted the US financed attempt at regime change…

          4. Nigel

Believe it or not that does not make them ayt less the ruthless torturing bloodthirsty autocrats who deserve to be in front of war crime tribunals.

          5. bisted

…they would have to wait their turn at that tribunal…they’d be well behind crooked Hillary and dodgy dossier Blair…

          6. Nigel

No they won’t. None of them will ever stand trial, and the idea that bad and all as her interventions turned out Clinton is anywhere near their class, including Blair, is ludicrous.

          7. bisted

…yeah Nigel…you keep saying it and one day it might be true…except…it’s not true…and she lost the election…

          8. Nigel

No, repetition is how the right got to you to believe what you believe about her. The truth might be more nuanced but it won’t fit into a Trumpian nickname that flatters your preconceptions.

          9. bisted

…crooked Hillary you mean Nigel…but she was crooked…that’s why she managed to snatch defeat from certain victory…Trump didn’t win…crooked Hillary lost…

          10. Nigel

blisted – now you;re actually chanting like a creepy cultist.

jusayinlike – you sound like a pizzagater and a Sandy Hook/Vegas/Parkland truther so I reckon I’m ahead.

re. The Times Ireland edition & bankster Drumm:

“Burton says justice has been served at last”

cue the spinnery right on schedule. Drumm got to go home for his tea last night ffs. maybe even got a round of golf in with his pals. what justice?

    1. GiggidyGoo

And the Gardai consider him a flight risk. Has his passport been taken from him?

    2. Cian

Lots of people go home after being found guilty. He will be sentenced later. If he gets a custodial sentence he will be brought directly to prison.

He is unlikely to commit a similar crime last night while on the golf course.

Although, he may be a flight risk (as GiddiyGoo says)

      1. Martco

Justice is the legal or philosophical theory by which fairness is administered. Well the administration of it isn’t yet complete in this case, not by a long way.

Burton presupposes that Drumm being found guilty is justice delivered….as if the guilty factor alone is the justice taken care of…pile of spin imho.

The justice delivered bit will be only true when the sentence is imposed on Drumm. That sentence is very important.

Justice isn’t delivered until the sentence is handed down.

    3. rotide

This is like the rape trial all over again.

People who simply have no idea how the system works demanding an overhaul.

Drumm had bail. Lots of people on trial are out on bail. Sentencing takes place after a verdict is delivered. None of this is anything new or shocking.

    4. trev

Think they have jumped the gun
Justice depends on the sentence drum receives
Bets are he will spend little time in jail

The whole thing reminds me of a British comedy movie from the 1980’s (maybe it was the meaning of life?) but one of the scenes was a British Ministers solution for the unemployment crisis – get employed people to commit suicide, therefore the unemployed would get their jobs. It ended up with a press photo-shoot of the minister pushing workers of a cliff. Surreal..
