Donating his archive; having come to a deal with Revenue with regard to the value he can write off in tax. It should be noted.

€2.2 million in tax write off he’s gotten.. all outlets reporting this like grand act of generosity.. which it is.. from the taxpayers like

He’s such a gobpoo. Why didn’t he donate it rather than making us taxpayers pay for it. It’s not as if he’s a poor man. Disgusting behavior.

Wtf wants to read anything from this gobshite.. looking back at his films you might think he has ‘issues’ around puberty.. nasty piece of work.. absolutely no value to anyone..

I can’t see anything of value in his ‘donation’. How was this figure arrived at. He took huge benefit from tax free status so surely this is already tax free. From what I hear he is not a very nice person to work with. I’m sure many will look back at his films, and perhaps themes not apparent at time will emerge into the light. As it were. Which is what all good films do in time.

It is truly bizarre the standard of journalism in this country, the way this ‘donation’ has been presented.
The Sunday Times at least cover it with honesty.
    RTE’s coverage was incredible.
