Is this some sort of tardis? Looks quite roomy and well put together inside.
Also, does it not come with a parcel of land, with planning permission, in a nice part of the world?
I don’t get the outrage…
it’s a very economical use of space and quite tidily put together but it doesn’t excuse that the upstairs is useless as a living space, you’d have to shimmy sideways to get into the windowless living room and the sink wouldn’t fit a normal-sized plate.
TBF I think the upstairs is probably literally just for sleeping and there is probably a weir small dish washer behind one of those cupboards (we had a half sized one in a flat I lived in once). But its one of those places that seems lovely until your realise you probably own stuff…
It does not come with land or planning permission.
The ad states that it is situated in a part of the world where planning permission is difficult to get and this “house” is already built.
The whole thing looks a bit dodgy. The Ad also says that the cottage is a rennovation which implies that there was an existing structure.
A quick search on DLRs planning search only throws up the planning for the main house in 1998 but I didnt see anything for this rennovation/construction.
Looking at the land registry the cottage doesn’t exist on the folio. The parcel of land that the cottage is on is still part of the main house folio aswell.
I had a quick look a the eircode website because that usually has existing structures on it too (I’m pretty sure its from the land registry) but no joy there either.
Dont get the outrage? nearly €300k for a roomy shed. I give up with this country. We have all lost the plot.
HOW MUCH?!?!
TWO HUNDRED AND EIGHTY FOUR THOUSAND AND NINE HUNDRED AND FIFTY EURO!!
“two storey cottage”
Oooooh K :)
BUCKETS OF POTENTIAL
ESPECIALLY WITH THAT KITCHEN BUILT UNDER THE STAIRS
That’s mental money (as in, more mental than the mental norm) – that thing won’t hold any value when the property market goes back to some semblance of normality. Building that will have taken a chunk off the value of the main house as well; better to have rented it out, and kept it as a guest house when things go back to normal and people are no longer prepared to live in sheds.
How come it’s BER exempt?
Why didn’t they build a better size house given the available space, or it this some kind of fixed size self assembly shed unit?
Where exactly is this? How can you tell it’s in someone’s back garden? It’s definitely not where the map on myhome says it is.
Anyway, ridiculous price, but I blame government policy and failures.
I believe it’s Anne Doyle’s front garden.
Sounds like a euphemism.
I sniggered.
Like a Philip K Dick book – Shed Your Tears The Landlord Said.
Ahh – that was the first of his books that I ever read.
I hope that curtain is fireproof
Well, you only have to take the max of two steps from anywhere in that tiny gaff to exit it.
