Garishness is in the eye of the beholder, or something along those lines – it’s perfectly garish for my taste.

I kinda like this vogue of winter and Christmas lights. Brightens the place up, maybe helps those poor souls with seasonal issues. Sure it’s as garish as a snow white plastic Christmas tree but still. And think of the kids. Well done Dun Laoghaire, and good work on the trees, giving nature a helping hand.
More tack needed, if anything. If it doesn’t feel like the early nineties by Christmas Eve then none of this was worth it.
