There were a dozen or so empty seats this morning for the Pope’s address and Christmas greetings to the Roman Curia. This is the first time in this Pontificate that absences at this annual event have been noticeable pic.twitter.com/vS9s2rQkNh

…anything to be said for another schism…
The Ukranian Othordox have just taken a leap away from Putin’s Moscow-led Orthodox. Keep an eye on that one.
Bad weather? Advance negative publicity about difficulties getting to the event? One Direction concert on at the same time?
It’s caca, eh il papa.
Jail.
Also, RTE covered the event live so the eminent brilliances couldn’t be mimsy-tushkin-ed to get out of bed to attend.
Oh bless , hope no one missed out on the secret Santa
Meanwhile, in Gatwick south terminal Wetherspoons, half a dozen sozzled prelates explain for the umpteenth time that no, they are not on a stag do.

Haha….say three hail marys and a decade of the rosary.
I think there is something big coming up in the Catholic calendar soon…
BS is beginning to feel alot like Fox news. Pope makes a big announcment that may lead to the release of tonnes of files BS comments on attendance…
the Apocalypse?
A few more indictments?
The pope’s birthday?

I read somewhere that a couple were sailing in and fell off the boat. They were last seen clinging to a bhoy.
…we need to evolve beyond skygod nonsense.
Another 100 years?
Pope Francis is a polarising figure in the church. And not for the “reformer” vs “fuddy-duddy” reasons endlessly droned on about in main stream media. Francis’ personal style, his weaponised ambiguity when it comes to aspects of moral theology, his willingness to settle old scores, and his distaste for most forms of tradition, have alienated quite a few.
‘weaponised ambiguity’….. an outstanding expression. Can I keep it?
