I read during the week that rents actually are levelling off? Was that incorrect? I think it was a report from daft but not sure

It found that rents rose by 9.8% around the country and 8.8% in Dublin which was a large slowdown in rent increases, but still an almost 10% rise in rents is still considerable.
Rents are rising by a lower amount. This is reported as “levelling off”, which makes it seem like they are ceasing to rise. But that’s not what is happening. It may be the beginning of the process of a cessation of rises, but that can’t be confirmed yet.
