Republic of Ireland U-17 Head Coach Colin O’Brien with Clara Hogan, Scoil Mhuire, Barntown, County Wexford and her winning mascot design, Barry the Bodhran
Meet Barry the Bodhran
He may look a bit GAA, but Barry is in fact the winning mascot design – following a nationwide classroom search – for the 2019 UEFA Under-17 European Championships being held here from May 3-19 .
Ted writes;
Q: What happens when a drummer loses his sticks? A: His heart misses a beat.
Nice one Ted.

Looks like a good design, but i’m slightly concerned with the image of this guy walking around the pitch bashing himself in the face to get the crowd going
No worries- the English are already doing that- it’s called Brexit.
Go on Collywobbles!
how many drummers does it take to change a light bulb?
none, they have machines to do that now.
What do you call a guy who hangs around with musicians? A drummer.
Well done to the creator. Kinda Jimmy Magee-like in appearance so it resonates. But “bodhran” doesn’t travel.
Black shamrocks? Was there a hunger strike?
Any why isn’t it a woman mascot?
Good point. They should have made it Bridget Bodhrán with MASSIVE norks.
NORK ALERT
HONK HONK!
why do bands have bass players?
they need someone to explain things to the drummer.
Aren’t you a drummer scottser? I’m not sure why, but I seem to have it in my noggin that you are.
Someone has to get the beer.
What’s the difference between a drummer and a drum machine?
You only have to punch the information into the machine once.
Looks like a wheel of cheese
