And what a result Liverpool versus spurs
And the really great thing is the pundits are spitting fire as no messi in the final
No Barcelona or any other European team
Just the fact football is coming home

I and friends, over pints, identified one of five distinct Dublin accents as the ‘Brian Kerr’.

The Morning Ireland team, plus Des – long pause – Cahill were nearly wetting themselves this morning giddily reporting on some soccer match. They seem to assume listeners knew what they were on about. Absurd how sport occupies 15-20 mins of a news and current affairs programme at AM prime time, especially sports where Ireland has no participation.

Who wasn’t playing (Harry, not the da)
I was on a plane to Leeds from Dublin on Tues morning, and it was about a third full of ‘Pool fans on their way to Anfield – which suggests full plane loads of fans who’d got it together to book earlier on their way to Liverpool and Manchester airports. I’d rather they all supported LoI teams – and some porbably do as well – but you can’t deny the huge support English and Scottish teams have in Ireland.

I’d respectfully suggest that Harry Kane, notwithstanding his non-involvement due to injury last night, nonetheless is an active participant in the goings-on at Tottenham Hotspur football club

“why doesn’t the news just cater to mmeeeeeee…”

      Grow up.

Compared to the 40 minutes every hour they dedicate to some vote or other in another country? I mean they just assume the listener knows what they are talking about.

      Cop on.
