Clearly we should all be doing mushies as they are a benign friend to all.

I believe September-ish is the time for picking, if you’re that way inclined. Absolutely no idea which ones you pick though. I’ve only ever been something of a bystander at a mushie session (highly entertaining) so my info is very limited.

You can get growing packs online, if you prefer.

Between St Patricks day and the first frost.

I wouldn’t reccomend trying them without somene with a little experience. As glowing as the recommendations you are going to read online, we’re not talking about cannabis here. It’s a pretty powerful hallucinogenic.

I suspect a fake news campaign funded by the Magic Mushroom and LSD cartels!

Meth and its little sister amphetamine/speed are interesting pair.
Clearly enjoyed by mostly sound folk not much into badness.

      Hugging someone to death.
In Sir Henry’s in Cork one guy took a fierce shine to me. Every time I was there, he’d make a bee-line to me and hug me. He was a bit scary, so I would have to stand there with my arms at my side and wait til he got distracted. I was probably the only person in there not monged on pills.

Jeezus. If someone came over and mauled me with a ‘hug’ I’d knee him so hard he would never dare visit the establishment or me again.

Without a doubt this was the single most annoying part of the yokes explosion of the 90s

Stop bloody hugging me, especially since you have your top off, are sweating profusely and appear to be trying consume your forehead with your lower jaw.

Firstly, what is it with broadsheet and terrible graphs, more unmarked axis. It’s very hard to tell what this means at all.

Having said that, the cannabis result is quite surprising. Expected it to be much lower on both results

Also surprising is how close all the rest are to alcohol considering alcohol is the only legally and widely available one on the list. Makes you wonder what this graph would look like if all of them were legal and avaiable literally in every second commercial premisis.

Also, in the original tweet, the poster posits that meth is ‘safer than drinking’

This is incorrect as going by the graph that the poster literally showed to support his argument, Meth is more harmful to the user than alcohol.

Meth is really, really bad for you.
Clearly, it’s also amazing. Has to be.
        It becomes a fulltime occupation.

If I recall correctly this is the total harm for all users (as opposed to the relative harm per user). The reason alcohol in #1 is that it is so widespread – it has 10 times more users than the next drug (cannabis).

It is comparing the total harm that
      – alcohol does across the 29,000,000 drinkers Vs
      – cannabis does to 2,400,000 users Vs
      – (powder) cocaine does to 875,000 users Vs
      – …
      – and mushrooms to 228,000 users

(I got these numbers of users from http://www.drugwise.org.uk)

rather scarily, Meth was used by only 17,000 people but it 4th most harmful.

More numbers from the BBC in 2013 which says
“About 27,000 people had used heroin, 47,000 crack cocaine, 120,000 ketamine and two million cannabis.
        […]
Home Office figures, which suggest that in the past year 174,000 people used mephedrone, 211,000 used amphetamines, 415,000 ecstasy and 627,000 cocaine powder.”
