I sort of understand the reasoning behind it but the whole “no police in pride” push really just smacks of “Stop ruining our protest, we’re supposed to be oppressed revolutionaries kept down by The Man, The Man isn’t allowed join in”.

Agreed. Pride is about being inclusive, not exclusive. It’s why the ‘A’ used to stand for ‘Ally’ (at least as far as I was told).

the fact is that to be labelled gives a cohort an identity that they the end up clining to and they (while never admitting it) enjoy the exclusivity that it brings.

There was a young lady on interviewed on the radio yesterday, she was asked what Pride means to her, apparently it is the only day of the year where she truly feels free. She came across as someone who wanted to be oppressed so she could whine about it. Fupping gobpoo

They’d be quick enough to run to the police if they received a kicking outside the George. Did KPMG and the likes have a float?

Dublin Bus competition on Twitter – prize is to be with gay man wearing a dress on a bus. Wow!

The once discriminated are now discriminators. And anti-human rights. The whole message of Pride has evaporated which is such a shame.

It’s not much of a revolution when the the guards and the Taoiseach and the minister for finance and the minister for housing, are leading the parade..

I do not approve of the loud attire, strange hairstyles and egregious makeup of many participants in that parade. The youth of today should try to present themselves in the public arena in a pristine aspect – like in the Ponds soap advertisements of yore.

Can’t understand why Rory O’Neill gets so much page space. He is in it for the money.

Yeah sure who the fupp are you to question the leveraging of social matters for money and fame?

Listen all I’m saying is there’s something a bit cynical about his relentless use (or abuse) of the current climate for the purposes of nothing more than self-promotion. If he did it a bit, even a sizeable bit, I’d say sure grand why not but the man never stops.

Foil shaver in the shower, the heat and moisture softens hairs and opens up the pores to allow for a skin-flush shave without any razorburn and the reciprocal nature of the foil reduces pulling
