Meanwhile, In Finglas

at

Last night.

Jamestown Road, Finglas, Dublin.

Concerned residents protested against serial sex attacker Robert Melia who they say is terrorising a quiet street of houses where he has been staying since his release from prison.

Melia told authorities he would stay at a hostel near the Phoenix Park but instead went to Finglas. Protesters stuck posters to a property where they believe Mr Melia is living.

To be fair, who would accept that living beside them? But wouldn’t it be great if they took the same outrage to the local drug dealers too, who destroy their communities even more, even causing deaths. It does raise an interesting morality thought that they won’t accept one type of criminal but are prepared to accept the other.

Yeah I guess it comes down to numbers, easy to target one person, whereas if many locals involved people would be wary of making any noise about it

The best place for him. The on the estate can keep an eye on him. Fecker should be tagged before let out anyway.

Quite a random variable in that statement depending on the drug, I’d argue that being heroin dealer is worse as it often kills.

plus rape can result in a STD, a nasty one, an unwanted child/abortion and an aversion to something essential to human needs/ identify/ current relationship/life..sounds worse than heroin to me not that I’m able to compare, just speculate

This guy has been raping for over 30 years – he’s actually a career rapist, not just a career criminal.

Paul Moore was another recidivist rapist living off Gardiner Street, who died earlier this year.
So happy were the locals at the cheerful event, I hear they held a ‘Moore is Less’ party.

The core of this problem of course is the farcical Irish criminal justice system

This specimen was sentenced to 10 years for a violent assault, in which his victim broke her leg as she jumped out a window to escape his attentions, in January 2015 and is now out. That was 4 years ago.

3 years were taken off by judge Nolan if he promised to be good after release (he had 3 prior convictions for sexual assault at the time) and a year was added on for theft. So he got 8 years.

And here he is back amongst us 4 years later.

    What a joke.

Exactly, this is where prison is the correct punishment. Should be in for 20+ years after the second let alone 3rd

Omg why bother comparing these issues… your talking about a pedophile here… nothing compares to child rape… you need to put your energy into that… for Christ sake
