Who declares that a place is “poster free”?
No public place is poster-free. What’s the issue with cable tying a poster to a wooden ESB pole?
Posters are not permitted on thoroughfares such as O’Connell, Grafton and Henry streets. They’re also banned from ESB poles and traffic signal posts.
The poster-free zones such as Mountshannon must be a new thing and privy to each county council. Maybe just a recommendation.
Hang down your head, Tim Dooley.
Very good; younger readers may need an explanation!
until such time as all parties and candidates have an equality of arms and exposure (which isnt going to happen), there is no way around the fact that posters are the best and easiest way of getting your name/face out there for elections.
If people are going to posture over it, they should be encouraging candidates to reuse posters a la Eilis Ryan
Well we know which party has more arms than the others.
Lucan (village) is poster free too. Council by-laws maybe? It’s great.
Given that these days were all about climate and waste awareness surely it’d be better for us all if the entire country were poster free?
