They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.
If the next Dáil wants to make one symbolic gesture about a sustainable future, then how about returning the gardens in front Leinster House to their former glory? #ParkNotParking pic.twitter.com/Gvt0Dtgsby

Do it
Now!
why? that’s an awful waste of money
no it’s not
oh yes it is
not
It’ll be Ireland’s 33rd Dail.
Let’s hope it lasts longer than Ireland’s 33rd team.
Wahaay !
Luxury beliefs
First to go – the infamous Prince Albert statue. It’s still there isn’t it?
While I am all for getting rid of parking spaces, the grounds of the Dáil isn’t open to the public or anything, so I’m not really sure it would be worth the investment.
At the very least, they should remove the lifetime-free-parking privilege currently handed out to any ex-Dáil member
would agree with this.
but would also say parking is important for current representatives. The very nature of the job requires that you are present in the constituency you represent, but also to make yourself available and present for dail sittings. Not every part of the country has adequate public transport, but maybe that’s something which should change too.
The car park will look different for the next term. Lots of scrotey bangers and boy racer vehicles.
if they cordoned off a small part of it and dug down they could easily install some of those spiral elevator contraptions they have in Tokyo:

for the price of a decent printer, maybe ;)
Good idea!
This would look great. Every little bit helps to reduce car usage in the city center too.
While in favour of this idea, I would prefer if they got rid of the bar.
