What’s with all the alien themed Red top banner headlines lately? It’s like 90’s era x-files mania.

The Cork Events Centre. A few little snippets in the above report.
    – BAM (again)
    – Cost increase (again)
    – Terms of tender change after original tender (again)
-Ownership would transfer to operating entity (again)
    – Public money (again )

In other words, a mini broadband deal.
    Thanks blueshirts (again)

Blushirts? It is a Cork City Council job. When this started the council had FF10, SF 8, F 5,Solidarty 3 seats.
But yeah, it’s all the blushirts.

Who is running the project? Cork City Council? or the government?

Just because Enda Kenny used it as a photo op doesn’t make it a government project.

You forgot to add the background, including their very public bias, of the Killarney Based Objector Cian

        Tough few weeks huh?

Sad to hear about Andrew Weatherall.NTS radio has a lot of his latest shows.’Music is not for everybody’.Indeed

    1. Toe Up

Only the Guardian had a piece about him on the front pages, which is a little disappointing.

I hope 6 Music do some tributes to him this weekend.

Oh dear.A bit of bad news for Repro ” Kung Fu Panda ” O’Bertie-Begorrah and the rest of the united Ireland mob on here.
A poll in today’s Belfast Telegraph concludes less than a third of people in the province would vote for a united Ireland if a border poll was held tomorrow, according to a major study of 2,000 voters.
A total of 29% would support Irish unity but 52% would back remaining in the UK if a referendum was held imminently.

And wouldn’t it be great if the Paddys overseas were finally given the option to vote

Even if only on a once off like an all island unity Poll

I’m part of the United Ireland mob now? It’s great that you’re letting me live rent free in your head like this but your obsession is becoming a little concerning. Maybe try a hobby? Kung Fu is a great way to get some exercise and relieve stress and, as it happens, I know a great school.

There’s more chance of Ireland qualifying for a football World Cup than there is of a united Ireland and as you know the chances of that happening are as slim as Bobby Sands on the day he popped his clogs.

Remember how ” racist ” Brexit was driving all the Europeans away as far right droogs stalked the streets of Blighty waiting to jump on anyone who talked funny ?
According to figures out today a record 5.81m non-UK-born people now working in the UK, driven in part by the largest annual increase in EU-born migrants working in the UK in two years, with a lower increase in those from outside the EU.
The number of EU-born people working in the UK rose by 133,000 to 2.44m from Q4 2018 to Q4 2019 — largest yearly rise since Q1 2017. There was also an increase of 25,000 to 3.37m in the number of people born outside the EU employed in the UK.
