If you are in DP you are getting fed and housed. You also get a small amount of money.

This special payment is for people that have lost their job and are in danger starving and/or of losing their house.

Surely there are qualified people with medical experience in DP that could be called upon?

      And are they qualified
      To European standards?
Or will the HSE be sued FOR MALPRACTICE when or if they mess up costing the taxpayer more

    You are not in poverty.
You are in Direct Provision because you are awaiting adjudication on the validity of your asylum claim.
You are housed and fed and have access to healthcare. All for free.
This is what the state can currently afford to do for you. The rest of us are paying to provide you with these services.

You are not in employment and haven’t paid tax, so why do you feel entitled to these payments?

    Essentially you want free money!

      First bit I agree with.

      but
You are not in employment and haven’t paid tax
Not true. This is tweet specifically talking about people in DP that *were* working but lost their jobs.

Check out how many people have got employment while in direct provioion and moved out of direct provision. It seems that direct provision is so good no one wants to leave.
