They are exceptionally beautiful.. they also remind us of a time when the stars lived in our thoughts and imagination every bit as the natural, and supernatural, world around us. If a chance in our lifetime to reconnect has been afforded us, then we should grab it while we can.

They look really lovely, but I can tell you from personal experience dodging their poop on the path when going around the lakes is not a pleasant task! The adults can also be aggressive at this time – protective of their young.
But having said that, it is wonderful to see them. I have not been to the lakes in a couple of years, since my Dad moved out to Kill.
I wonder is the heron still there? There was one on the lower lake, and a gally of ducks on the upper lakes (the swans would not let them nest in the lower)

That might make life more interesting if so. But no!
That being said, I have some interesting photos from his second wedding that imply he is a dictator in the wrong place, wrong time :-)
