Take Part in our Birdsong Challenge: Join us in learning the songs of Ireland’s most common garden birds. Recognising birdsong is an important skill if you want to find & see birds in the wild…

A skill worth robin.

Robbing.

There’s a rambunctious wood pigeon in the trees at the back of our house that I’d quite happily strangle.

Rambunctious is up there in my favourite words category. But nothing will replace Snafu.

At the risk of sounding like a bit of a redbreast, I have had the pleasure of travelling. Birds’ accents change, which always amazed me.

And I love lying in bed listening to the birds of an early morning. Once they are done, I can go back to the important business of sleeping in!
