   I think this bathing spot is called Curley’s Hole, and gets a mention in Ulysses.

      Interesting… I would have thought that it was one of the safest places to swim in Dublin, given how sheltered it is. Also, amongst the few houses on the island, one of them still has the look of a boatyard.
