This morning.
A timely intervention?
Or overly cautious?
Only YOU can decide.

I only signed up for the race series, not the marathon. Good thing the routes maps are still available; I may run them solo.
On a tangent: I didn’t get an e-mail about cancellation yet, and there’s nothing on the Web site. Why do so many companies and event organizers assume everybody is using Twitter?
The email arrived yesterday evening.
no surprise there, there will be more races, lots of good virtual ones on the go
Parkrun going virtual. Any sign of the Women’s Mini-Marathon going virtual too?
I boycott that as a) no eye candy b) calling it a fupping marathon gets under my skin, may sound petty but I can’t help it, I earned my use of the word marathons runner the hard way,
it’s a great day out but call a spade a spade
Easy to snicker at that one for sure…
ah no snickering more irritation, I know, anger issues lol
+1 Ringsend – I , at least, got the pun
oh…doh
this has made my day
had a bet with a friend – entered into out of pride over belief (know full i couldnt run a marathon)
bet’s off!
ah bet you could, you just need the right trainer ;)
sadly no
betrayed by ankles, knees and hips
no longer in the full flush of youth, J
it’s all catching up with me
sad face, tbh if you have had covid you might want to let the old organism rest up properly, those long distances open up the door to infection if you are tired in anyway,
I blame the dancing
Are you over striding or heel striking brother.?
Try bare foot running. It changed me from injury prone to injury free.
snap, it also widened my feet to the extent I had to buy a rake of new heels, win win ;)
It would have been my 7th DCM. But but at least the organizers now have another year to pick up all the plastic bottles and KBC swag left after the 2019 one.
I usually do Connemarathon or Paris but plan on doing Dublin at least once while I live here, next year so, am I right in thinking a lot of it is outside of the city ?
Done Paris Marathon three times (and the Paris-Versailles and HM). Dublin Marathon is pretty much moulded around the city running model of 1/3 urban interest 1/3 suburban dreariness, and 1/3 parklands – a function of where you can run and where they let you.
If you take core of the city as being the area between the canals, then yes a lot of it is outside:

meh, maybe Liverpool would be more fun then
