Behold: the Ducatti Superleggera, or rather, a custom ‘naked’ upgrade of same by builder and former 250cc GP champ Roland Sands, who took a 2014 Ducati 1199 Superleggera and turned it into the world’s highest performance custom bike.
By replacing the already lightweight Ducatti bodywork with even lighter carbon fibre panels, adding a modified titanium exhaust, oversized race radiator, oil cooler, carbon handlebars, tank and GP-grade running gear, Sands increased the bike’s power to 207bhp, upping the revs by a further 1000rpm.
Easy now. It’s only for looking at.

looking at me botty, hiya !
What would those modifications mean in terms of K’s per hour , or miles per hour ?
I believe the technical term is
vroooom vroooooooom
The original bike was good for around 200mph or 325km/h. This one may not go too much quicker on the top end but probably delivers with a good deal more punch. Loss of bodywork and therefore aerodynamics would be a loss to top end speed. 0-100 km/h in around 2.3. Mostly guessing on my part but to answer your question.
Had one of those. Rubbish. Broke down on the ‘Rock Road. Had to get a lift home from Lorraine Keane. Bought a Honda 50.
dream shattered
madly enough, I’ve heard Lorraine’s version of that story
Petrux fan judging by the number, I wonder if the man himself was offered a go on it
It’s a thing of beauty all the same
