Behold: the Nikola Badger (you’ll recall the Nikola NZT) – a four-door, 960bhp hydrogen fuel cell/electric truck designed by the Arizona-based electric heavy vehicle maker as a clean competitor for the monstrous F150 and Silverado.
With an impressive 970km range, the Badger packs enough torque to tow four tonnes or accelerate to 100km/h in 2.9 seconds.

(also that F150 pickup yoke is only part of the story, they’re also working on a full-on 40ft artic…all somewhat theoretical however)
I’m ashamed to admit that after renting an F250 Super Duty once I’ve caught the pickup bug, you really do feel like you’re king of the road. Small wonder trucks are so popular in the states. Photos don’t do the size justice, as everything about it is scaled up proportionally from what we would think of a large pickup. Completely impractical here, and the bonnet being higher than an average car means you’d dangerously impede visibility in our small junctions.
I tell myself that I would at least hold out for an electric one to feel a bit better about it. Not that the wallet could ever stretch that far.
