Arthur Griffith thought and preached about the need for Irish industrial development. His self-industrialising ideas attracted the attention of the Indian pacifist leader, Mahatma Gandhi. Griffith thought about other matters too. He was a thinker, even if today we find fault with some of his thoughts.
