Hare Care Bunch

at

Yesterday.

Kildare Street, Dublin 2

Masked animal rights activists protesting outside the Department of Agriculture, calling for a ban on hare coursing, in which dogs are tested on their ability to ‘run, overtake and turn a hare’.

The Green Party, in government formation talks, failed to persuade their coalition partners to ban the activity, considered a cruel bloodsport by campaigners.

The important question is….Is that poor grammar on the poster?

Surely it should read “The hare is running for its life” or “the hares are running for their lives”

A lot of people don’t realise that the dogs do the killing but yet they aren’t condemned.

seems like there are different shades of green
greens in cahoots with ff fg. Reckon betrayed sums it up, certainly for many of the different shades of green.
that is what one does in politics

In any scenario where no one party gets a majority of TDs[1] then all parties are equally guilty of “betraying their own supporters”.
      – FF, FG, and the Greens “betrayed their own supporters” by going into collation with the other two.
      – SF, Lab, AAAPBP, SD, et al “betrayed their own supporters” by not getting off their backsides and managing to form a viable collation.

      [1] unless there is a pre-election pact

You are on the money regarding betrayal Cian, there has been plenty of that.
Pre election pact -what could one be alluding to.
Any how back to the coursing – Stop it, Stop it, Stop it. In my opinion it is not a sport..
Plenty of blood, trauma + terror. Not so big on sport

If you consider hare coursing a sport, then you’re a sociopath who gets off on animal cruelty.

I agree it should be banned but those protestors are SO ANNOYING. Super noisy. Always there. Surely there’s another, more effective way? Coz it’s not working.

I used to tsk loudly as I passed by on me way to get me best ever prawn sanger in M&S.
