You Can’t Stop The Music

Golden Discs CEO Stephen Fitzgerald

Tomorrow.

Malahide Road, Swords Demesne, Swords, County Dublin.

Driven by the vinyl revival, our friends at Golden Discs (home of Nick’s voucher) are opening their newest store in Swords Pavilions Shopping Centre.

Situated on the ground floor next to Supervalu. it will employ twelve new staff and takes the company to 22 stores in total across the country.

CEO Stephen Fitzgerald says:

“We’ve had lots of time to perfect the Swords offering with a particular empathise on Vinyl and turntables.  The resurgence of the format over the last few years has been simply extraordinary. Whether its older fans dusting off the old collection from the attic, or younger fans listening to music for the first time how it’s supposed to be enjoyed, we have something for everyone in-store this Christmas.”

In fairness

I sooo need to find myself inside a record shop again. In this cause it’s Tower for me as their range is unparalleled in the city. Bring on Saturday.

He’s one of the greatest artists who ever lived. He could sing, dance, produce, entertain – the lot!
No-one can hold a candle to him.

He brought joy to millions (if not billions)

He was recognised by the Guinness world records for his philanthropic work

Estimated he gave over close to 500 million to charity over his lifetime

      and more amazing deeds.

luckily I still have the original vinyl..Thriller, Bad, Dangerous
but if I had to buy them again in hipster format I would
so as to the question, is it ok being sold and available? it’s 110% “yes it’s ok” from me

I don’t have any of his stuff on CD or anything anymore and I have to say it did slightly worry me when that last documentary came out that he might be removed from physical sale and from streaming services.

        He’d become like contraband. ;)

Might take a visit to the record shop soon..

I can see Live At The Regal by B.B. King front and centre in the photo, one of his very best albums. The location is outside my travel area, but best of luck to them.
