Nick’s Gone All PC

This afternoon.

Broadsheet music editor Nick Kelly bids a fond farewell to his voucher sponsor since skinny jeans were last in, thriving record store chain Golden Discs.

Currys PC World will take over voucher sponsoring duties later this afternoon.

Nick says: Thanks to Sinéad and everyone at Golden Discs. It was beautiful.

    Awwww noooo!

Many thanks to Golden Discs. The music threads are by far some of the nicest on broadsheet and a true pleasure to read of a Friday. Thanks to Sinéad and Nick also :)

I got such a buzz out of winning this once and my godson enjoyed spending the voucher. Thanks Golden Discs. Thanks Nick.

They passed me by, all of those great romances.

But I had plenty of hours dreaming about them on Grafton Street. While looking at those strange posters of ethereal women and, for some unusual reason, cats.

I only ever bought one poster: Bugs Bunny, Rebel without a Carrot. Sat on my wall until one day that wall was no longer mine. For some peculiar reason, I have a Bugs sized gap on my bedroom wall. I live in hope.

Thank you Sinead and all at Golden Discs.

Thanks, GD. Much fun was had and H/T to all the ‘sheeters who gave me new musical avenues to venture down.
